Until relatively recently, there were two Prezzo restaurants in Norwich, but both closed when the company started to shrink its estate. In 2023, Prezzo closed nearly fifty restaurants across the country, a third of their estate. But, they’re now making a comeback and they are opening at Riverside, part of a plan to start expanding their chain again.
They’re offering 50% off meals for a couple of weeks after opening to anyone who signs up via their website. Unfortunately, when I tried to sign up, the form said “we are not accepting responses” which is a rather sub-optimal waste of a marketing opportunity. As an aside, their new logo feels rather dated already, I’m not sure what was wrong with the old one. I suppose consultants needed to make a mark and checking the sign-up form was presumably outside the brief.
Anyway, it’s positive to see a chain making use of the former Pizza Hut, which closed in October 2025. Although I still want Riverbank to make a reappearance, I’m quite partial to all you can eat Chinese restaurants. I might try the form again nearer to opening, as although I had expected some restrictions on the offer, excluding everyone seems unusually thorough.
