Riga – Uzvaras Piemineklis (Victory Memorial to Soviets) – Demolished

And as I wrote about a few days ago….. It has now been demolished (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/aug/25/latvia-topples-soviet-era-obelisk-amid-backlash-against-russia). I’m quite pleased to have seen it standing, but its demolition was perhaps always inevitable.
