And as of 20:00 on Saturday evening, there are four retirees…..
We started with 497 entrants, 440 started at 10:00, 44 started at 12:00 and 13 started at 14:00. So 493 brave souls still out there.

We thought we should test some beer….
And a burger to reward ourselves from the lovely kitchen team. The marshals are always very looked after, just in case anyone is tempted to help at future events!
And then a quick walk to St. Andrew’s Church in Rushmere, but more of that another time, but it’s a fascinating building. We were lucky enough to time our visit with someone who volunteers there who was able to open the building up for us.
After all that walking, it was time for a quick snack.
And dessert.
Peaceful at HQ. There’s a slight IT crisis, other than my server, but Richard was busy solving it.
The end point being decorated.
The quiet kitchen, this will be rather busier later.

The work of moving bags to the breakfast stop being supervised by Madeleine with her tea.
More bags for the breakfast stop.
The finish bags.
The collection of walkers for the third and final send-off. Or to be more precise, these are all runners.
Madeleine doing chairperson things.
Katie doing the third and final talk to entrants.
Steve getting ready to take some photos.
Andy looking pensive.
And that’s the end of the starting bit!

The tracking link for the event is at https://track.trail.live/event/flower-of-suffolk-100.

And getting ready for the second wave of starters, here’s the ever brave Neil.
Richard doing some more shouting.
Madeleine looking happy.
There’s not as many starters are midday, but there are as many as we had on the marshals’ walk.
The event security watching over Katie.
If anything needs fixing, there’s your man.
The excitement mounts!
And inside to find the tracking screen broken, but it’s all fixed now 🙂
