<p>The clock at the front of the building.</p>

<p>It feels dated and unloved, with everything inside being closed up. There was though a vending machine and a coffee machine, the only hints towards modernity. Well, other than the trains.</p>
<p><a href="https://i0.wp.com/www.julianwhite.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/20200122_095024-scaled.jpg?ssl=1"><img data-recalc-dims="1" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-14538" src="https://i0.wp.com/www.julianwhite.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/20200122_095024.jpg?resize=225%2C300&#038;ssl=1" alt="" width="225" height="300" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/www.julianwhite.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/20200122_095024-scaled.jpg?resize=225%2C300&amp;ssl=1 225w, https://i0.wp.com/www.julianwhite.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/20200122_095024-scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 768w, https://i0.wp.com/www.julianwhite.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/20200122_095024-scaled.jpg?resize=1152%2C1536&amp;ssl=1 1152w, https://i0.wp.com/www.julianwhite.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/20200122_095024-scaled.jpg?resize=1536%2C2048&amp;ssl=1 1536w, https://i0.wp.com/www.julianwhite.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/20200122_095024-scaled.jpg?w=1920&amp;ssl=1 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px" /></a></p>
<p>A slightly lazy pigeon who didn&#8217;t move from that spot for some time.</p>
<p>There is a modernisation programme which is shortly about to start on this railway station. It&#8217;s a shame that it&#8217;s in this slightly dilapidated state, but some modernisation will soon improve that. It&#8217;s used by over 1,000 passengers per day as it is, so a nicer station might get used by even more given its central location.</p>
